Privacy and security in EVERMIRA

Memory is the most personal thing you can entrust to a service. That is why privacy and security are not an option for us but a condition.

You decide who sees the page

A memorial can be open, password-protected, available by invitation only or fully private — visible only to you. Individual sections can also be hidden or locked with a separate password, for example personal letters or especially painful memories. The access level can be changed at any time, both ways.

Data is protected

Sensitive data and media are stored securely, and access is granted by role — owner, editor, contributor. No advertising in the name of the departed, no passing data to third parties and no training of outside models without consent. Memory is the most personal thing, and we treat it accordingly.

The right to be forgotten

Any memorial can be exported in full as a single file or deleted forever. Deletion means deletion: we do not keep “shadow copies” against your decision. Memory belongs to the family, and so does control over it.

Privacy by default

We follow the principle of “privacy by default”: you consciously open what you are ready to share, not the other way around. This matters especially for family memorials, where some stories are meant only for relatives. A careful attitude to boundaries is part of our ethics.

  • Open, password, invitation or private.
  • Hiding and passwords for individual sections.
  • Role-based access, no ads or data selling.
  • Export and full deletion at any time.

Frequently asked questions

Can I hide only part of the page from outsiders?
Yes. Individual sections can be hidden or password-protected while the rest stays open.
What happens to the data when a memorial is deleted?
It is deleted completely. We do not keep hidden copies against your decision.
